Power is a tricky thing. Wielding it in concentrations can backfire. Eventually the forces of balance correct out the imbalances.
The applicable story line here is one of managing one's local environment for current and future generations.

Never happen.. Absolute power is in control and it will not let go.. The only way it will is if it is removed and it has all the weapons. If we retreat to the high places and set up camps of like minded souls, it will come and destroy us. As history has shown us. The only recourse we have left is to ride out the storm and hope for a brighter future which will never come. Our lives have dramatically been changed for us, we either submit or we will be punished. I'm looking forward to the day when men of faith will be asked to give up that faith entirely or be denied any form of assistance, because at that time I believe everything will be fulfilled to usher in a judgement that has been held back. We are close..
What we need is for the sane people to find the other sane people and
ignore everyone else and do what they can do to survive. Some of the
insane people might realize they are following the wrong people and
switch over. Some will be forced toward less consumption by economics.
Meanwhile, the System of systems will not let go until it fails on its
own. Just like a rabid dog, it needs to be put down to stop it because
everything surrounding the culture of consumption is designed to
reinforce the culture of consumption. There is no 'fix' for it that any
politics can implement now.
IF there is a planet left by the time the CO2 dumping stops.
