I sent that last reply off before completing it. A measure of worldwide
commerce is the number of ships idle. The article below shows the number of
laid up container ships at 255 with more expected. There was a huge
expansion of vessels over the last few years and that expansion is
contracting much faster than it grew.

All more indications that learning to live with less and pulling as much of
your sustenance from the land as you can is more important now than ever
