We have decided to make it easier for ConAgra and harder for family farms.
The question is why.
I'll take a stab at the why. Small farmers eat better and on a whole are healthier - translation . . . the health profession stands to lose LOTS of money if everyone starts growing and eating home grown. ~Norma
I've heard Sally Fallon (head of Weston A. Price Foundation) make the observation that the growth in employment in the health-care industry in the past couple of generations has almost exactly matched the loss of employment in the farm sector.
An obvious conclusion to be drawn is that an outbreak of perfect good health tomorrow would be an economic catastrophe.
