I had a similar situation a few years ago and I gave
them lots of OM to work with and they left the plants
alone, but now that I think of it - I had so many
underneath the squash plants and the squash had a
fungus on them so I think they were attacking the weak
plant. So I took a jar and hand picked them myself
one by one and filled the jar - in the middle of the
night I snuck over and poured them all over the front
porch of a neighbor I wasn't particularly fond of.

The real name is a "sowbug" and I am noticing a lot
of earwigs also.
