On Monday April 23 the University of Missouri is
hosting a free presentation:
“Managing Soil Organic Matter: The Key to Sustainable
Soil Productivity”

Info on the speaker, time, and place is below.

Also they just put out a good collection of info on
dealing with the fruit-damaging freeze we had here
(info that probably also pertains to the rest of the
midwest) at:

SOIL PRESENTATION INFO:
Albrecht – Earth Day Lecture

Dr. Larry M. Zibilske, a soil microbiologist at the
USDA-Agricultural Research Service, Integrated Farming
and Natural Resources Research Unit at Weslaco, TX and
co-founder of the Sustainable Agriculture Program at
the University of Maine, will be the honored speaker
at the William A. Albrecht – Earth Day Lecture on
Monday, April 23, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. in the Great Room,
Reynolds Alumni Center. The title of the lecture is
“Managing Soil Organic Matter: The Key to Sustainable
Soil Productivity.” Funding for this event is made
possible through the William A. Albrecht Lectureship
Endowment. The Department of Soil, Environmental, and
Atmospheric Sciences, the School of Natural Resources
, and event co-sponsors (MU Environmental Studies
Program and Sigma Xi) invite the campus community and
the public to attend this free lecture.
