I do not know but my guess is that I say you do not have to buy anything. A lot of members are selling a lot of things. One guy who owns a company selling to farmers speaks at a lot of their meetings as he did in the one in Lubbock. The head man defended his speaking and I said he is not going to all this expense just because he likes to make speeches.
I joined for one year and did not renew yet I am still on their mailing list for everything. They are a good bunch of people but non-farmers have too much power in the organization. www.togfa.org

I say in my workshops: you do not have to buy anything, from anybody, anywhere, at anytime for you garden or minifarm. There are a few recommendations: seed [I do not save seed as they can be purchased very cheaply], use sea weed, fish meal/liquid, etc. These cost very little and do a lot. Many will not give any promotion to my workshops since I say the above. The TX Organic Gardeners and Farmers Association will not co-sponsor my workshop even when I agreed to teach it free and let them charge for it. A gardening magazine want to co-sponsor one with them and they will not. Money!Ken
