Hi Gwen,
Been around for quite awhile. I knew a grower in Vermont who got a lot of
labor that way. She's since fallen in love, sold out, and moved to Florida,
IIRC. But every year she had a steady stream of what she called "field
hippies". Communal cooking and a variety of shelters for primitive camping.
They humanured. Unsure what the bathing facilities were. Far as she was
concerned, it was an excellent way to go.
