Ag officials have touted this disease prevention b.s. as an excuse for NAIS
until they are actually starting to believe they're own lies -- or the lies
fed to them by big agri-business. 48-hour traceback has never been for any
other purpose than so that the big meat industry could sell to European and
Japanese markets, who won't buy without 48-hour traceback. That's the sole
true reason why premise registration and animal i.d. is being forced on us.
Anything else you hear is just reasoning after the fact.
