Hello Bert,

I mix all my currants into a single juice. The main difference between josta and crandall is size and habit.

I love my crandall sizewise, but they droop to the ground when loaded with fruit and do not recover shape after fruit is removed. They also get this "twisted" stem thing going for them.

Josta is twice as big as crandall, the fruit is larger, but it is hard to tell the difference tastewise. Josta does not droop as badly as Crandall, but it is a large bush.

Later,
Tom

Hello Biz and all others
IMO Crandall has more fruit/better tasting than Josta
Tom, Joe & others- do you agree?
Likely will have a good batch of rooted suckers in early spring- a lot more
reliable & less work than unrooted cuttings. Just put 'em where you will
want them. Cheers Bert

Hey Bert,

This available jostaberry stock sounds like it could have potential to
solve
an opportunity, since I'm trying to fill in along the l-o-o-o-o-n-g fence
that encloses one end of the orchard. Is this a decent tasting hybrid,
and,
also hardy to zone 5? I'm about to get my pint-sized greenhouse open for
business and have started to designate places on the shelves for different
items. Cheers, to all. Bizmark.
