The Community Services Department of the Wake County Public School
System is looking for two Web developers. These are full time
positions with benefits. Job descriptions are below.
The "Network Admin/Online Services Administrator" position (it's
really a Web Developer) closes July 28th. The Senior Administrator
closes August 2nd.

Title: Online Services Administrator (Non-IS)
Reports To: Senior Administrator, Community Services
Salary Level: 30
FLSA Status: Nonexempt
Terms of Employment: Full Time - 12 Months
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree; Minimum 3 years experience web design and web-based
application programming in HTML, PHP, and JavaScript.
Salary Range: $44,241 - $64,700
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain Community Services website
2. Develop and maintain Community Services internal support
applications and databases
3. Develop and maintain Intra-departmental support applications and databases
4. Administer Community Services database systems & servers
5. Evaluate and apply current and emerging technologies and best
practices to improve Community Services operations and processes.
6. Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent
experience. Three years experience in web design and web-based
application programming. Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, and
JavaScript. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop. Excellent communication
skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experiences with a strong
background in web & web application development. Three to five years
of experience programming and managing relational-database-driven web
applications. Proven ability to facilitate inter-program and
inter-departmental cooperation. Excellent standards based web design
and programming skills.
Salary Range: $54,858-$82,288
General Summary:
Provides strategic and short-term direction for design, development,
and management of Community Services online and information services.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Architect, design and implement a strategic roadmap to achieve
long-term goals of Community Services' web-based database application
systems.
* Develop and oversee development of features and functionality of the
web-based database application system.
* Delegate such development and implementation as is prudent to available
staff.
* Communicate with Departmental, School, and Community contacts to
develop strategic plans and specific improvements to the web-based
database application system to facilitate operational efficiency.
* Develop and maintain policies for information exchange with
Community Schools Users, Students, and other WCPSS departments.
* Manage and administer relational database systems, version control
systems, and application code base.
* Evaluate, plan improvements to, and maintain the Community Services web
site.
* Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of web technologies
and emerging technologies and technical, legal, and commercial trends
related to web development.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree minimum or equivalent work experiences with a
strong background in web & web application development.
* Three to five years of experience programming and managing

* Work independently with initiative and consistency.
* Proven interpersonal skills. Must participate in and encourage team
management concepts and promote a positive working environment, and
must be able to facilitate inter-program and inter-departmental

o PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript.
o Relational Database concepts.
