Apparently there are forces at work trying to make a random hexadecimal string go away in the name of "copyright protection" (I thought copyright was for protecting creative works? How is a randomized hex string creative?)

If you're a Digger, you might want to digg this up: http://digg.com/movies/The_Coolest_Thing_Since_DeCSS

You can go straight to the number in question here:
http://nickstallman.net/2007/05/02/09-f9-11-02-9d-74-e3-5b-d8-41-56-c5-63-56-88-c0/

The contents of that site might quietly disappear but the URL itself contains the number.

Does this remind anyone else of the days when shadowy forces were trying to make DeCSS go away?
