Hi Roger, Mark, Ray et al,

Thanks very much for all the emails and calls!

What has made this situation so difficult is that Susan is on the first
floor with her laptop, and the router and the machine to which it is
connected are on the second floor. She can't do basic troubleshooting,
because she can't get to the second floor. It's also been difficult for her
friends-- like me-- who can't leave work to go over and take a look.

She has some friends coming by tonight, so hopefully with some mobile
bodies, she can get this problem solved.

Thanks again for all the help!

Colleen

I assume your friend continues to have issues with the network?
If so, it would be helpful to know what type of computer and networking
equipment is being discussed. I assume we are talking wireless also? If so,
do other people connect to the router wirelessly? Make, model, etc., etc.
An open ended question like this is something I normally ignore.
Sorry about the hip though.
