I don't know if I'd say I HATE the Windows Firewall, but it's sorely
lacking in features and capabilities. I'd say that it's better than
nothing but not a lot. I think a professional firewall product is a
very good idea, even if you're behind a router/firewall (though
perhaps a lot less necessary).
I've used ZoneAlarm and Symantec Client Firewall (at work) and the
retail version as well (integrated into Norton Internet Security).
Both seem to function well.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off
the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the
