I use GoDaddy for all my domain names. I find it in general easier to use and much less expensive. NetworkSolutions was running between $18-$30/name when last I checked. GoDaddy is $6-$10 for the same TLDs.
They have more or less all the features one would look for in the domain name trade, including backorder, etc. I've not used that feature, though.
The one downside to GoDaddy is that you'll have to click through a few extra screens of "special offers" to get your order placed. It's not that it's hard to do - there's a clearly marked "No, thanks, continue to checkout" link, but it's a few extra clicks.

I'm in the position of having to move my domain name registrations,
and was wondering if people wouldn't mind sharing what they're
using. I realize we went through this a while, back but thought it
would be best to see if anything has changed in this regard.
Also, I'm thinking about using NetworkSolutions to try and purchase
domain names from people who don't seem to be using them after
contacting the owners directly didn't work. Has anyone tried their
Backorder or Certified Offer services?
Thanks,
--Michael
