Hi Folks,

Some additional information on our brewery tour:

Directions to the Carolina Brewing Company can be found on the CBC Web site
http://www.carolinabrew.com/. (Another cool site is
http://www.homestead.com/beersouth/Guide2NC.html. Maybe we need an INW road
trip...:))

A few things to note:

You'll want to print the directions :). When you are on highway 55 and it
turns into highway 55 bypass, you will see a green highway sign directing
you to either Holly Springs or Fuquay-Varina. STAY ON 55 bypass! Follow
the route to Fuquay-Varina (even though CBC is in Holly Springs).

There is a sign for SE Lubricants on the corner of Irving Parkway and Thomas
Mill road. This is where you turn right on to Thomas Mill. CBC is in the
low rise building on the right which is just after the building with the red
roof. CBC is the last business on the right in this building.

There is a seafood restaurant on the corner of US1 and highway 55. It's
spacious and can accommodate large groups. It's the lunch-spot-of-choice
for those staying for lunch :).

One last thing-- if someone could volunteer to be the official photographer
for this event that would be great! We'll put photos on our Web site and
CBC would like some photos for theirs. If you can so this, please let me
know. Much thanks!

Please RSVP to me if you can. CBC would like to know how many to expect.
Thanks to those of you who have done so already!

Ciao!

Colleen

Hi Folks,

Since summer is baseball and beer, we're going to toast one of these warm
weather traditions with a tour of the Carolina Brewing Company in Holly
Springs. The tour will be Saturday, June 25th, at 1:00 PM and everyone is
welcome! Since we don't have gathering in July due to the holiday, this
will make sure that we have an opportunity to meet our first Thursday beer
quota :)

Details:

There is a charge of $5.00 per person. This covers the tour, tasting up to
9 different beers, and a souvenir sampling cup.

The tour should take about 30 minutes, and sampling another 20 or so. You
are welcome to stay and consume more of any brew that caught your fancy :)

We may do a lunch after. If you are interested, please let me know, and
I'll find a restaurant and make reservations.

Parking will be available in the front of the brewery, and it is also fine
to park along the street. Depending on how big a crowd we have, we may
carpool.

Please RSVP to me at cmccarthy1 AT nc.rr.com.

More information to follow...

Thanks!

Colleen
