unless you've got a non-pine Christmas tree. 96% of the Christmas trees
grown in NC are Fraser firs, not pines. if you're not sure, pines have
long thin needles, while firs and spruces have shorter, thicker needles.
though your assertion might still be correct if you replace "pine" with
"evergreen".

in case you're curious, the main trees grown here are Virginia Pine, White
Pine, Norway Spruce, and Fraser Fir. 88% of the christmas trees in NC are
grown in 5 counties (Ashe, Avery, Alleghany, Watauga, Jackson). NC
produces 12% of the christmas trees in the nation.
