Think back a little further. We also broke a lot of treaties (like, all

justification was a doctrine known as "Manifest Destiny".
This reminds me of a great T-Bone Burnett song, "Humans from Earth". It's on the soundtrack to the Wim Wenders film, "Until the End of the World".
