I was watching it go down on TWW and shaking my head, agreeing with
the people who were saying "Dont f*ck with the cops man, they'll get
you" and watching the perps saying "Hell no, they'll never get us"

That alone negates any sympathy form me to them.

In spite of the fact that felony charges are probably an overreaction,
the fact remains that at the time, they were being warned by people
who realized that it was in violation of the law, and they chose to go
ahead and do it.

I think that the law is extreme, but its at the same time necessary to
keep people from doing even stupid shit like this.

Its a small step from guessing a really obvious password to setting up
a bruteforce attack to really messing things up. Its people like us
who know better than to do that, but people like the perps in this
case and script kiddies think its all fun and games, and there need to
be harsh laws to put the fear into them to keep them from doing crap
that in the end may escalate to something really serious.

>From their persepctive: One of the "West Raleigh Three"s LJs:

and "Free The West Raleigh Three": http://pwnt.org/wr3.html (this used
to have the story on it, i guess their lawyers told them it was a bad
idea)

Anyway, as you can tell, I dont have any pity for these guys, and in
spite of my recent activities, I have nothing but respect for the cops
themselves, its just the laws that I dont respect, and in my book, you
just don't f*ck with the cops.
