a) Kurt's right. As a suggestion, I believe the prison system also accepts
book donations.
b) Reader's Corner in Raleigh might take some. If you simply want to empty
your house, Reader's Corner also will take books they won't buy, put them
on the exterior shelves, sell the books for a quarter and donate the
proceeds to (I think) public radio.
