I don't know about that. I've always thought that punk is distrustful of anyone being fake, hippie liberal or not. Especially if you labeled yourself as punk.

This depends on who talk to. Punk is not about mohawks and getting angry. A number of my buddies were into zen philosophy and peace (and health care and ...). They just rocked hard. You're really pointing lame fake immature jerks that can be found everywhere with this variety of Republican in there.
and besides, Fugazi isn't punk, it's DC hardcore.)
Call it punk or DC hardcore or whatever. It's good. That's that.
