hear hear!

lets hope mccafe takes some of the starbucks crowd away and by doing so helps out some of the little guys

back in martinez, we used to go to a place downtown called Romano's that roasted their coffee in house and everything, great place, and its still there AFAIK, even though it moved to a smaller location, closer to the county courthouse, they're thriving.

i'll never forget going in there after the roaster caught fire and seeing the scorched marks on the ceiling and some of the fans, it sure gave the place some character (as ig it needed any more)

Has anyone visited the McCafe on Falls Church Road in Raleigh or any

Sorry, with all the excellent locally owned coffee shops available, I can't
justify spending my money there. I also can't stomach the thought of
actually going into a shop called "McCafe" either. It gives me the willies.
The upside is that all those McCafes will keep the Minivan crowd out of my
favorite haunts.
