I recall a brief discussion about Japanese a while back, so maybe someone
on the list can answer this. Is mogwai a real word? Meaning, is it the
English transliteration of the word from Japanese (or is it Chinese?)?
And if so, is it the word for gremlin or some such similar mythological
creature?
I did a Google search, but the only results I received were for the movie,
the band, and cats.
thanks!
Alan
