Minolta uses a "sandisk" (in his case a 128mb version).
If it's a quick format (very likely), that means that only the data index was gone. You can mount the CF disk in a USB disk reader and it will show up on the windows desktop. At that point it's just like any other pice of media with a file system on it and the standard windows (Norton) undelete recovery programs should be able to help.
