Last year's was quite spectacular. That time I drove from Durham out 751
towards Jordan Lake and pulled over on a bridge across the lake. Even
though it was less than 10 miles from town, it was far enough for the
light pollution from Durham to not cause any problems and there were no
trees, mountains and other stuff in the way to obstruct viewing. Anybody
else have any suggestions on good viewing spots?

Also, here is an article from cnn.com on the subject:

A reminder to you all...

Tomorrow morning between 5am and 6am local time,
the Leonid meteor shower will reach its
peak...

It's possible that this will be the most
spectacular meteor shower you will ever see, so
get your kids and friends out before dawn, in the
darkest spot you can find...

If the weather's clear you won't regret it!

Chuck
