Has anyone heard anything about the crash worthiness of I.E 6.0?
I just upgraded on Sunday and the dang thing has crashed or frozen
at least a dozen times today. I wondering whether to reinstall or
go back to 5.0.

I'd love your comments.

I've had enough bad experiences with U-Haul that I refuse to use them
anymore.

The only really good experience I had was when I moved from Minneapolis
to Knoxville, TN. The truck was almost new and in excellent condition.

On local moves I've had various problems:

Once had to go to a different U-Haul "store" because the one where I
made my reservation gave out all their local trucks, despite me having a
credit card-held reservation.

I've had problems with the general beaten-down low quality of their
local move trucks. Balky engines and beat up doors, etc. Put more
angst into the move than was necessary.

My last move I used Penske trucks out of a 'Package Store' location near
my old apartment. Cost more, but I got an almost brand new local truck
in excellent condition and no worries about whether or not the truck
would be there. Penske does NOT overbook so I knew that my truck would
be there. Be forwarned: Cash or Credit Card only. No Checks.

Self-Test for Literature Abuse: How many of these apply to you?

1] I have read fiction when I was depressed or to cheer myself up.
2] I have gone on reading binges of an entire book or more in a day.
3] I read rapidly, often "gulping" chapters.
4] I sometimes read early in the morning or before work.
5] I have hidden books in different places to sneak a chapter without
being seen.
6] Sometimes I avoid friends or family obligations in order to read novels.
7] Sometimes I re-write film or television dialog as the characters speak.
8] I often read alone.
9] I have pretended to watch television while secretly reading.
10] I keep books or magazines in the bathroom for a "quick nip."
11] I have denied or "laughed off" criticism of my reading habit.
12] Heavy reading has caused conflicts with my family or spouse.
13] I am unable to enjoy myself with others unless there is a book nearby.
14] I seldom leave my house without a book or magazine.
15] When travelling, I pack a large bag full of books.
16] At a party, I will often slip off unnoticed to read.
17] Reading has made me seek haunts and companions which I would
otherwise avoid.
18] I have neglected personal hygiene or household chores until I
finished a novel.
19] I become nervous, disoriented, or fearful when I must spend more than
15 minutes without reading matter.
20] I have spent money meant for necessities on books instead.
21] I have sold books to support my reading "habit."
22] I have daydreamed about becoming a rich & famous writer, or
"word-pusher."
23] I have attempted to check out more library books than is permitted.
24] Most of my friends are heavy fiction readers.
25] I have sometimes passed out or woken groggy or "hung-over" after a
night of heavy reading.
26] I have suffered 'blackouts' or memory loss from a bout of reading.
27] I have wept, become angry or irrational because of something I read.
28] I have sometimes wished I did not read so much.
29] Sometimes I think my fiction reading is out of control.

If you answered 'yes' to five or more of these questions, you may be a
literature abuser. Affirmative responses to ten or more indicates a
serious reading problem --seek help now! Fifteen or more "yes" responses
indicates a severe or chronic "readaholic" personality. Intervention is
seldom effective at this stage.

I also had mixed experiences with U-Haul. Whenever I rented with them I
made sure to buy the extra insurance to make sure I had no hassles due
to the condition of the truck when I returned it. Some trucks were in
excellent condition and others were hardly roadworthy. By the time my
last move was due I had thought you can't get much worse than U-Haul,
so, being as cheap as ever, I rented a van from a place called
Rent-A-Wreck. I turned on the engine and ALL warning lights came on -
and stayed on; for the duration of the entire move. I had very serious
doubts that thing would make it even one more mile, but somehow (maybe a
mixture of prayer and voodoo?) it did get the job done. The truck sort
of looked and felt like the kind of van that thieves and burglars drive
around in cheesy Hollywood movies ('Home Alone' comes to mind). It was
called Rent-A-Wreck for a reason. And it cost more than U-Haul would
have. They are not there anymore, at least not at the location where I
rented from them.

The company I used to work for once moved from one floor of a building
to another floor in the same building and used Truckin' Movers for the
move. It was a long time ago and I was not privy to too many of the
details, but from what I remember they did a decent job.

I can say with no hesitation that Dungee Taylor moving is Durham is the best
company you could possibly use. They are awesome.

Re: U-Haul

Be very careful about the mileage they quote you. I once rented a
ten-foot van for a move from Maryland to New York. They quoted me a
rate for address-to-address. They later let slip that the allowable
mileage was limited to x miles. Well, I knew that the shortest route
was about 50 miles more than what they quoted, and involved some
highways which were limited to automobiles. I had to talk to several
people before I got them to amend the contract to cover the correct
mileage. In the end, everything was fine. The truck was easy enough to
drive and in excellent condition.

Quoting the affirmatives:

I'm not necessarily hooked on fiction, though, which is why most of
those responses were not answered affirmatively. Right now I am
reading Homer's "Odyssey", and yes the next one in the queue is Anne
Rice's "Queen of the Damned". But I also enjoy books of all different
genres, and read them voraciously.

So the solution must be reading a book about it, I guess. Yes. I need to
read a book about this topic.

OMG!

http://www.wired.com/news/conflict/0,2100,55967,00.html

"It's not clear whether Saddam uses e-mail or even knows how to operate
a personal computer. But scores of people write to him each week at
press AT uruklink.net, the e-mail address listed on the official homepage
of the Iraqi presidency since at least October 2000. "

"The e-mails sent to press AT uruklink.net were obtained earlier this month
by first clicking on a link labeled "Check your e-mail in Uruk" on the
homepage of Iraq's state-controlled ISP, Uruklink.net, then guessing
the login name and password -- both of which were the same five-letter
word. "

The best thing, though, this comment at Slashdot:

Call "Best Piano Movers" at 571-0866. It's a very small operation -- the
owner, Frank Austin, goes on every move with one or two other guys. They
have all sorts of cool equipment and a real understanding of what is
involved.
