Hi there,

I have read an interesting article at MP3Newswire.net . The article comments
the "music industry"'s survey on audio usage, mp3 downloading and cd buying
habits.

http://www.mp3newswire.net/stories/2002/teentrade.html

What it is interesting is that, using the same data as the original survey,
gets to different conclusions.

So, when the otriginal survey says:

"10.1% of 12-17-year-olds who actively download music from the Internet did
not purchase a single CD or cassette in the last 12 months. "

This article identifies a completely different conclusion:

"... 90% 12-17-year-olds did purchase CDs even though they actively download
music from the Internet. In other words, the record industry is having
excellent penetration in a market where most of its audience doesn't have a
paying job. "

The original study can be found here:

Read on, draw your own conclusions.

Salut,
Josep
