Interestingly enough... when I moved back in April, I had the chance to
update all of my mailing
and phone information with the various companies I have bills for (cable,
gas, electric, etc etc).

..two recent calls have really got on my nerves:

1) On my 'explicitly unpublished' home phone line, for which 3 people on the
face earth only have
the number, I have repeatedly gotten calls about changing my long distance.

2) On my 'Cell Phone' - which is the *only* number I use anymore as a
contact for me.. I've
gotten to calls from some company (Be it Related to, or actually - Time
Warner Cable) wanting me
to upgrade my 'Preview Guide Channel'.

.. with the latter of the two calls above being the most annoying for me...
because this is my
CELL PHONE... for which I pay by the minute to use - be it making, or
receiving, phone calls.

They called two times.. the first time I came straight out and told the
person that this was my
CELL PHONE and not to call.. 2 days later the same group of minute-stealing
tele-jerks called
again... this time I more politely stated that they had already called and I
wasn't interested..

SURELY There is some law on the books which prevents tele-goons from call
CELL PHONES?

.. My deepest desire now if to have some feature in my phone that always
plays a pre-recorded
message to all incoming callers which states they are dialing my cell phone
and will be billed x
number of cents per minute to pitch me their crap...
