For authentic German foods you can try the Internet at
http://www.GermanDeli.com. They have every variety of German (and Swiss)
chocolate imaginable. Slightly off topic, they are also an excellent source
of Schaller & Weber meats, cold cuts, sausages and other meat products
(apologies to any vegetarians!), and have a selection that Fowler's Gourmet,
Southern Seasons or Wellspring can't come close to. They are a good source
for German breads and baked goods as well, but for FRESH authentic German
baked goods in this area you just can't beat Guglhupf Bakery in Durham (on
15-501 behind Fowler's). Unfortunately, however, they do not sell German
beer or wine.
