i heard the David Byrne concert was wonderful. I'll have to get over my depression that I missed it. Yeah, summer, I agree, the merry-go-round spins very fast, verry fast. Maybe TB is right, time is fleeting!

Okay, summer's over, after Labor Day, it is time to get Serious.

oh, how entertaining it has been over the last few days to watch the ladies
of chapel hill struggle to find a way to incorporate all their whites and
tans, linens and cottons, and the white shoes -- oh, lordy the white shoes.

i am even guilty of shoe-horning in "one more summery outfit" from wednesday
nights David Byrne concert. yes, the free-flowing off-aqua cotton "jeans"
from france had to come out and play. accompanied by a white t-shirt, tan
over-shirt and tan sandals, i *was* SUMMER BOY for one more moment. fighting
back the bubbling emotion, i must bid adieu to my beloved summer...

i know it. they know it. just a few more days, ladies!! then back to the
woodsy, earthen colors of fall!! oh, how i wish it wasn't true!!

theres no place like summer...

theres no place like summer...

d.m. :(
