This has been a really great week in the InterNetWorkers universe. We
had (at least) two really intense debates on this list and a huge
enjoyable gathering last night in Durham. It's so cool that we can
engage in pretty high-level simultaneous discussions about
open-source/GPL/M$/copyright and women's issues at the same time,
without degenerating into a flame war. No brawls at Mug Shots, either.
I went and dug out some numbers from the listserver and found that
we've got a total of 412 unique addresses on our two main lists. That's
about 189 on this [Internetworkers] list and we just crossed 300 on the
[Inet-announce] list. Some overlap, obviously. And last night I took a
rough headcount and there must have been at least 60 folks on the deck
at Mug Shots, one of our biggest turnouts ever.
So let's take a moment to congratulate each other on being part of a
really great and vibrant community! Hooray!
