Take heart, and work toward a day when we power our lives using
distributed electric generation based on the earth's plentiful -- but
neglected -- renewable resources. It wouldn't surprise me if the folks
in California get serious about providing their own energy in response
to this mess. A lot of trends begin out there, sweeping the country a
decade or so later....
