Absolutely. My sister has a house in a fairly nice subdivision in
Springfield. Fortunately, she isn't looking to sell it. Houses in her
neighborhood are not selling. In fact, houses in Springfield --
except maybe on the very high end -- are not selling. I have a friend
who's been trying to see her house for a couple of years. So far, she
hasn't had a single offer (but she's renting it).

It's worse in the country. I see more and more houses, some of which
appear to be quite nice, simply abandoned.

Interestingly, a few houses are being built in the country, mostly on
old farms where the existing house is about to collapse.
