Well, there will be no *real* homemade pumpkin pie tomorrow. Youngest and I set out to do a couple of canner's worth of pumpkin to have to puree later and the pie pumpkins are worthless! A whole row of pie pumpkins and every single one of them is majorly hollow and has less than 1/2" of "meat." Good for the chickens and that's about it!
I haven't a clue what happened to them this season. Anyone have any ideas? Now, they weren't saved seeds. DH and youngest went and grabbed all the seeds last year and roasted them. Go figure! So I bought Sugar Pie from Baker Creek.
