I tried Michihili Chinese Cabbage this year. It germinated well, transplanted well, and now it is blooming. It says that it matures in 70 days, and low and behold it has been almost exactly 70 days. The problem is that it has not headed up and it is not tall. The plants are only about 8-10 inches tall and are open centered-they did not head. I essentially have what looks like pak choi, which is growing next to it. The pak choi looks great, although it is not very 'heady' either-more like stalks in unison, if that makes any sense at all.
I'm making a stir fry tonight so I will harvest a few 'heads' of cabbage for that, but I don't have a clue as to what I did wrong. They were sown on Jan 28 indoors, transplanted outdoors into a raised bed on March 4, and now, they are 'marture'. Could the cold have stunted it the way broccoli makes button heads? Could it have crossed with something?

That picture is very long. My cabbage looks nothing like that.

The color and size are like this, but no head.
