Well, it has been two months since we last saw snow. Generally speaking, when we get snow it comes down over the eastern hills and down our little valley and we get quite a bit less than the valley does.

This morning it dawns bright with blue skies and fluffy white clouds. The weatherman, you know, the guy who gets paid to be wrong more than half the time, says it will snow this evening and that we'll be having snow for the next 3 to 5 days, OR more.

So, I figure I'll head on into town with my little truck and pick up some lettuce (have a bunch of bacon in the freezer and BLTs are sounding good) and some buttermilk, check the mailbox, drop off books at the library before the become overdue, stop off at the 4-H office and drop by youngest's friend's house so she can drop off some books she borrowed and get back some they borrowed.

Well, it seems an hour after I leave the house it starts snowing up in the hills where we live. Get everything done in town and it starts to snow, in town. Mostly just wet stuff, so we head on out to youngest's friends' house which is on the way home. Get up to their place, drop the stuff off and head home.

Yeah, right. There is NO WAY the little truck is making it up our hill through several inches of snow! I mean, it's a 1/2 ton truck, no weight in the back and not a posi rearend. Had to call DH and have him come get us. Then we get home, get the Suburban and tow the little truck home.

I tell ya, some days it just doesn't pay to leave the house <g> But, we finally have some snow!

Lynda, off to get the biscuits (with rosemary) out of the oven to go with the pasta e figoli.
