Nor I, If one does a Google on PetroSun's algae biodiesel, one gets
thousands of hits covering the announcement that they opened the algae
operation for
production in 2008. Algae grows mainly in warm weather, so 2008 has now come
and gone.
Try to find information on how much biodiesel they actually produced ... and
more importantly, how much fossil fuel it took to grow and process it.
Thousands of hits about the announcement last spring, no news, not even any
hype, on
how much they actually produced and what the energy advantage was.
So far almost all of the alternate energy endeavors have been 'energy busy
work', using X btu's of fossil fuel to make X btu's of some alternative, or
more
often 90% of X btu's. The actual fuel being consumed is venture capital and
government grants.
