I meant that the measurements of the time a certain constellation spends on the horizon at the VE is inexact, not the interpretation of those measurement. That, like you say, is more of a world view. Interesting points you make..

It isn't a science at all and that's what leads astronomist amuck when they try to deal with astrology. The effect of the constellations on history and the passing of the year is not literal.
