Actually, we're all probably talking at cross purposes here. I'm thinking "working class" and the folks in the middle economically.

Middle class is defined as "In some societies, the richest class, but without a title of nobility" "also known as the Bourgeoisie" "A social and economic class lying above the working class and below the upper class" Which makes McCain more right than I.

However, that said, I'm going with the "real" *middle" class, those in the middle $47,000 to $56,000 a year. Those who actually produce something, those that actually "work."

Not those that make a couple hundred K a year for doodling on a piece of paper. She hasn't a clue about the average American. And, believe me, you don't want to read my review of her book <g>

What's your income range for middle class status? She's not the
working poor, but you don't have to be on that level to be middle
class. I know quite a few people who aren't hurting for funds, but who
work for a living. John McCain defines the middle class to include
those with a net worth of up to $5 million, but I think that's a bit
steep.
