Wow. I hadn't heard that, but googled it and all I can say is wow.
That pretty much ends this mess, doesn't it? I can't imagine how they could
spin this so that it doesn't affect the vote. Thank you for bringing this
up. This is serious.

Forget McCain. He's history now. But be aware that Obama might not be much
of an improvement over Bush in the 'war' category. He's said he would send
more troops to Afghanistan, go to war with Iran to prevent their acquisition
of nukes, send troops to Darfur, invade Pakistan to go after Bin Laden, etc.
I was kind of shocked to read all that, actually. I got that from
http://www.ontheissues.org/Barack_Obama.htm
Interesting reading, not just for O-man, but for all the candidates, even the
ones no one has heard of...

Last week I replied to a post with the word "racist" in the subject
and did not mean that anyone on the list is a racist.
I'd like to apologize to all who felt I was applying that label to
them. It was not my intention to call anyone a racist, that word was
in the subject and I didn't think to change it.
To be honest I don't know anyone on this list personally and I think
you would have to actually know someone to apply that type of label.
I am very sorry that it happened.
I've know Akka on the list for some years and I have NEVER
entertained the thought of the term 'racist' with her, NEVER. I'd
like to publicly apologize to Akka for any discomfort I may have
caused by my thoughtlessness in continuing the thread with that word in it.
Akka is tolerant of different people, tolerant of different ideas and
is generally tolerant of folks disagreeing with her. That's not true
of everyone on this list, with Akka you get a fair shake, a sound and
honest argument and a helping hand, intolerant is never a word I
would associate with her.
Again my apology to Akka and everyone else for using that word in my
post. I will not let it happen again.
