11mm, monster hook, and it doesn't matter what it is made from. I'm going to
try to crochet a rag rug..

Are you looking for a #11 or an 11mm. Vast difference. #11 is fairly
small. An 11mm is huge!

To clarify, I need something 11mm or slightly larger. I don't want to order
it online if I don't have to-the shipping would cost more than the hook.

Also, not related to the above, but where can I find a #11 crochet hook? I
even went to the dreaded WM and still no luck.

Does anyone have a jujube tree? Are they hardy-easy to grow?
What about cranberries? I see them in the Stark catalog and they are calling
me...lol

Akka,
Have you checked Michaels or whatever flavor of craft store you have? They
carry crochet hooks & knitting needles and the like.
My Great-Grandma used to crochet rugs, bowls, etc. out of plastic bags. They
were colorful, not warm and cozy. She made 'bowls' by using the front of
cards (birthday, seasonal, etc.) and punching a hole in the side and
connected the cards with the plastic crochet. She also braided room-sized
rugs from scrap material torn into strips.
Have fun with your project.
