Upstate SC. I'd measure my 20 inch rainfall deficit from the same GSP
Airport as mentioned previously. This well is 40 ft deep, and the well
service people told me a few years ago it shouldn't be considered reliable.
My Grandad was frugal, to put it mildly. He probably stopped the well digger
at first signs of water however many years ago that well was dug.

The well here at home is 225 ft deep though, and seems to be doing fine. It
is truly fine water. If I have to sell this place I may stipulate rights to
come fill carboys of drinking water in perpetuity.

Our three acre pond is down about 4 feet, and the resultant shoreline
increase has reduced it by an acre, I'd guess. It's spring fed but depends
heavily on runoff as well.

We need a wet winter.

Warren
