A friend (the same friend who moved to your neck of the woods) left a
box of them here (half a dozen?). I'll have to dig them out and take a
photo for you. from my faded memory I'd say they are two or three quart,
very dark old pharmacy bottles.

Thanks, Keith, but I should have been more specific on size. Two- or three-quart size would be too large for my seed-saving needs. Pint- size would be plenty large for me. I think that that large-size seeds could adequately be saved in regular quart-size clear jars, of which we all have plenty, or can accumulate them with regular store purchases.

Now to determine with what to seal. What's a good source of small corks? We have plenty of wine corks but the whittlin' might become tedious. Perhaps pieces of plastic wrap and just ram the old top back on. Wow, what a find!
