It's a two edged sword. The very fact that it makes life more secure means
that it makes life more vulnerable.
Is it easier just to go to the mart and buy all your food (for example)?
Certainly. But what if, for whatever reason (see the article Bev pointed
out),
the food to the mart is interrupted for an extended time .... or forever?
Suddenly you are far MORE vulnerable than you would have been had you
emulated the
gardening ludite.
