Suzanne, The Milorganite worked great for deer for a few years, but then failed. The two most successful products I have tried for deer WITHOUT FAIL are Bobbex and Liquid Fence. The latter is designed for deer AND rabbit control, although for me the rabbit part hasn't been effective It smells the absolute worst of all the deterrents I have ever been exposed to and that's saying alot! Both of the above are costly but considering the value of the plants they protect, the cost becomes a non-issue. LB
