I don't have one of these Echinacea yet and I still don't seem them at retail garden centers. For that matter I haven't seen them in the trade either. I do grow lot of echinaaceas though and in winters when the soil stays wet but not constantly frozen...and this can happen under snow cover...the crowns seem to easily rot. Voles also love the crowns...but I don't think this is the problem several stories high in Manhattan. Of my five varieties in my front garden only two returned this year and they are comparatively thin. On the other hand...seeds that I distributed in the fast draining wasteland across the road several years ago germinated, developed into remarkable plants and they continue to thrive..but remember...in fast draining soil.
