Hi Jim,

Hope this e-mail finds you doing well!

Because of the issue of the international flavored viruses, we too have begun implementing dual virus protection.  The products we have selected are provided by  McAfee and Kaspersky.  We have found the combination to work well so far.  We decided to stay away from Symantec several years ago as our testing showed it really slowed things done on a desktop.  That may have changed recently.

Take care.

Stan

Subject: [grhits] seeking recommendations re Anti-Virus and EndPointProtection

Hello all ...

Recently, several of our country offices have reported that Symantec anti-virus has failed to detect viruses, and they've tried others that worked betterm including F-Secure and Kaspersky.  We're noew deploying some of those products on a case-by-case basis

In this general area, we've also receioved recommendations for GFI EndPoint Protection, and for an appliance product called Cyberoam.

We'd appreciate any comments or suggestions about good or bad experiences with these or other anti-malware solutions for country office settings.

Thanks!

JIm
