Tor,

First of all, I want to thank you for the input you gave me on my previous question.  Secondly, although we discuss mainly technically and connectivity issues, I am not opposed to sharing development and web related issues.  If you are interested in creating a separate group, I definitely would like to join in.  I can also recruit a lot of people in my organization since we do a lot of web app/site development.

Subject: [grhits] SRH webmasters question

Hello everyone...

Are any of you aware of online discussion groups specifically for webmasters working in the SRH field?  I've poked around online, and there are a lot of webmaster lists (such as the one at NTEN) but I don't see one specifically for SRH.  Think of it as the web design/development version of GRHITS.  I don't think GRHITS itself is appropriate, because many IT topics are not web-related (and many web topics are not IT-related).

If you know of one, let me know.  If not, however, would anyone be interested in participating in one?  I think SRH-related sites face some unique issues compared to other sites (corporate or NPO), and I also think that organizations in this sector might benefit from mutual agreements about online assets (even simple things, like how our sites link to each other).  If you know someone who might be interested, please forward this to them.

Earlier today, Bill Lester suggested to me that NPOKI might be a good host for such a group.  So we've got an idea, and we've got a location, now do we have any interest?

Let me know what you think.  Thanks.

Regards,

Tor
