Is this comparison being made on the basis of the Greek text of PB or a
particular English translation of it. If it is on the basis of an English
translation, then I think there are grounds for caution. The translator may
have
assimilated his translation to the text of Mk. 4:12.

In any case, that there is a parallel is interesting. But that there is
dependence is a whole 'nother kettle of fish (shades of Sandmel's
"Parallelomania"!). What evidence is there that PB was known to, let alone,
used
by, the author of GMark or was a work that was known within the circles or the
area in which the author of GMark traveled?
