Also, can we finally upgrade from msvc6 (which is no longer supported by
Microsoft), to , say msvc9?
Damien has worked out a basic solution for vc9 which would be very nice to
include in the head.

If someone were to go through and add CMake files or something for the
project would you accept them into CVS head?
