James,
I am not really a unix developer so forgive me for asking stupid
questions.
Should I download the latest snapshot, apply the patch, uninstall
whatever I currently have, and install the patched version? My original
install is with RPM. Does it change anything? Any help is appreciated
Respectfully,
gd

No, I do not have Sybase entry in freetds.conf
TDSDUMPCONFIG dumps look identical to me:

Sure enough. That sent me back to the code, and today's your lucky day,
Gene.
I don't have time to test it now, but the problem seems to be that the
function tds_set_server() is never called by the ODBC library. Sorry,
it looks like no one has ever (successfully) use our ODBC library with
ASA.
Try applying the attached patch. It might work; if it doesn't, it's in
the right vicinity. Maybe Frediano or another ODBC guru can fix it.
Thanks for your patience. It looks like you helped us find another bug.
